The arrestee were picked up at checkpoints or from their own residents in the villages by members of the Border Guard Police and tortured to death.

The Rohingya Solidarity Organization (RSO) had not existed for two decades. The false fabricated stories about RSO movements in the region had led to conspiracy theories and questioned whether the existence of the group was a government smokescreen.

The president Thein Sein’s Government organized a genocidal pogrom against Rohingya ethnic minority with his arm security forces; Border Guard Force (Nasaka), Police, Hlun Tin (paramilitary), Army and some stimulated Rakhine racists. Since June 2012 communal unrest, thousands of innocents Rohingyas were brutally killed, more than 1500 innocent Rohingyas sentenced to long term imprisonments without giving any legal remedy, many Rohingya women and girls were critically gang raped elsewhere in Arakan, more than 140,000 people were forcibly displaced, vandalism and arson to the houses, religious schools and Mosques etc. Human tragedies have been continuing in Arakan and other areas of ethnics.

The violence has since spread amidst a wave of hate speech targeting all of Burmese Muslims, led by extremist monk, Wirathu and his followers around the whole Burma.

The latest tactics of arbitrarily arresting and killing Rohingya with false allegation has become the daily activities of Thein Sein regime and his accomplice terrorist Wirathu. ERC therefore urges the international communities, United Nations, United State, European Union, OIC, AEAN and International NGOs to take firm actions to save Rohingya minority from becoming history in Arakan.
