Death sentence of torture victim condemned: AHRC

(MIzzima) – The Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) has described the verdict of a court in Rangoon, sentencing a torture victim to death for his purported role in a bombing, as “farcical" and a "cut-and-paste” job, and has called for his release through the intervention of outside agencies. The sentence will be appealed.

ျမန္မာဥပေဒျပဳလႊတ္ေတာ္ကိုယ္စားလွယ္အဖြဲ႔ဟာ ဘယ္လ္ဂ်ီယံႏိုင္ငံ၊ ဘရပ္ဆဲလ္စ္ၿမိဳ႕မွာရွိတဲ့ ဥေရာပ ပါလီမန္ကို မေန႔က ၾကာသပေတးေန႔က ပထမဆံုးအႀကိမ္အျဖစ္ သြားေရာက္ေလ့လာခဲ့ၾကပါ တယ္။ ျပည္သူ႔ လႊတ္ေတာ္ဥကၠ႒ သူရဦးေရႊမန္း ဦးေဆာင္ၿပီး လႊတ္ေတာ္ကိုယ္စားလွယ္ ႏွစ္ယာက္နဲ႔ အတူ ျမန္မာအစိုးရတာ၀န္ရွိသူေတြက EU ဥေရာပသမဂၢ ဥကၠ႒ Herman Van Rompuy နဲ႔ ႏိုင္ငံျခား မူ၀ါဒေရးရာ EU အႀကီးအကဲ Catherine Ashton တို႔ကို Belgium ႏိုင္ငံ Brussels ၿမိဳ႕ရွိ ဥေရာပပါလီမန္ မွာ ေတြ႔ဆံုခဲ့ပါတယ္။
