More than 40 boats of Rohingyas float in the river

Kyaukpru, Arakan State: More than 40 boats of Rohingyas are floating in the river near the Akyab today evening, according to a reliable person from Akyab. “The boats tried to land in Akyab as the boats had no fuel, water, foods and medicines, but the security forces and Immigration officers were not allowed to land on Akyab.”

Curfews were enforced in two towns in Rakhine state in north-west Burma following new clashes just months after more than 80 people were killed in June.

Nasaka killed Rohingya woman at Maungdaw

Maungdaw, Arakan State:  A Rohingya woman was killed by Burma’s border security force (Nasaka) on October 22, at her house while she was resisting Nasaka from arresting her son over accusation that he was holding a Bangladeshi mobile set, said a close relative of the victim. “The victim was identified as Ms Hasina Khatun (50), wife of Sheraz, hailed from Oo Shaikya (Bura Shida Para) village, under Nasaka area No.5 of Maungdaw north.”

Burmese Muslims Cancel Eid Festivities

These genocidal actions have been carried out with the backing of the police, army and security forces with intent to destroy the whole Muslim population of Arakan.  

Students Lead Anti-Rohingya Rally in Myanmar

Hundreds of Buddhist university students rallied Wednesday against Muslims in a flashpoint city at the center of communal tensions in western Myanmar, a protest leader told AFP. The protest in Sittwe, capital of Rakhine state, followed overnight violence in nearby towns as a fresh outbreak of unrest between ethnic Rakhine and Muslim Rohingya stretched into a third day. More than 800 houses burn out in Minbya and Maruk-U

Minbye, Arakan State: Fresh clashes between Rohingyas and Rakhines have broken out in volatile western Myanmar, leaving more than 600 homes burned to the ground, according to an elder from Minbya. “In the cashed, at least 100 Rohingyas dead, but authority used only three people dead and more than 340 homes.”
