Ukhiya, Bangladesh : A refugee girl from the Kutupalong official refugee camp was killed by a speedy Mini bus at Teknaf-Cox’s Bazar Highway nearby Kutuplong camp, on May 18, Hasan, a refugee from the Kutupalong camp said. “The refugee girl has been identified as— Minara Akter (9), daughter of late Aman Ullah, block-E of Kutuplong official camp, under the Cox’s Bazar district.” She was killed on the spot while crossing the road yesterday at about 11:00am.  The mini bus was going to Cox’s Bazar from Teknaf with passengers, according to sources. On information, the police of Ukhiya police station rushed to the spot, but, the driver managed to escape from the police arrest, according to official.  Photo  Nayapara Refugee   checkpoint   Teknaf, Bangladesh : An official refugee youth of Nayapara camp was killed and another one injured by a speedy motorbike at Ali Khali (village) under the Teknaf police station on November 26, Anuwar Hussain from the camp said. The dead body was identified as Janal (18), son of Jahid Alam, block-H, Shed # 649/6 and the injured person is Yasin (17), son of Sultan Ahamed, block-H, Shed # 622/1. The victim Janal accompanied by his friend Yasin were going to Nilla from Nayapara camp by a bicycle o November 26 at about 4:00 pm, while a speedy motorbike was coming from Nilla and collided with the bicycle. But, Janal is working at tea shop in Nilla, according to his family. By Dhaka Tribune 15 Rohingyas also sustained injuries in the the head-on collision  At least six Rohingyas were killed and 15 others injured in a head-on collision between two jeeps on the Cox’s Bazar-Teknaf road near Ukhiya Degree College in the district  on Thursday morning. The deceased were identified as Ali Ahmmod, 45, Abul Boshar, 30, Nurul Haque, 26, Belal, 35, Mohammad Alam, 30, and Saydul Alom, 25. Quoting witnesses, Ukhiya police station Officer-in-Charge Gias Uddin Miah said: “A Cox’s Bazar-bound public jeep, locally known as Chander Gari, collided head-on with another jeep coming from the opposite direction near Ukhiya Degree College around 8am, leaving five people dead on the spot and injuring 16 others.” Later, one person succumbed to his injuries at the hospital, police said.
