Maungdaw, Arakan State:  Army personnel from Light Infantry Battalion (LIBs) No. 352 – stationed near Bagonenah village – shot on a grazing Rohingya youth on January 28, at about 11:00am, according to an elder from Bagonenah village. “Mohammed Rafique, 28, son of Abdul Majed hailed from Bagonenah village, is the grazing Rohingya youth.”

Rohingya youth severely tortured in Maungdaw

Maungdaw, Arakan State:   A Rohingya youth was severely tortured by Burma’s border security force (Nasaka) on January 26, in the evening in Maungdaw north for sending his two elder sisters to their father-in- laws’ houses after visiting their parents’ house, said a close relative of the victim on condition of anonymity. “The victim was identified as Abdullah (22), son of Hussain, hailed from Nari Bill village under the Nasaka area No. 6 of Maungdaw north.”

Breaking News(28.1.13) A Rohingya boy was shot dead by Myanmar army today Monday at 11 a.m while being tried to defend looting of his cattle by army and Rakhines (joint looting) Telephonic Confirmatiom Just few minutes ago a reliable source from Maungdaw informed over Telephone that A Rohingya boy from the village Baggona, 4miles south of Maungdaw Town went to Hills side with his cattle. Suddenly the Myanmar army with the help of notorious Buddhist Rakhines tried to loot his cattle. The brave Rohingya boy tried to defend. But he was at once shot dead at 11a.m today Monday 28th January,2013. So far, his dead body is not return to his family.
