No Rohingya : Township Administrator officer

By Kaladan Press Maungdaw, Arakan State : Maungdaw Township Administration officer told the village administration officers not to use the word “Rohingya” as their reports and official corresponding to other government offices, said a village administration officer. U Kyi San, The Township administration officer had ordered not to use the word “Rohingy” to the village administration officers who attend the monthly meeting at Township administration office on January 1, 2012.”   

Hope and expectations in 2012

We welcome the arrival of the year 2012 on an optimistic note and look forward to some pleasant days that are becoming a scarcity in our trouble-torn national life. It is also a heartbreaking hope and profound expectations which today form the core of thoughts among individuals across the world.

What will happen in 2012 Burma politics?

( Commentary ) –  The way the political game was played in 2011 will have a huge impact in 2012 Burma politics. 2011 was the year Burma took on a new political shape from dictatorship to quasi-civilian government. Right after the quasi-civilian Burmese government came in to power amid alleged fraud votes, the most powerful military chief, Senior Gen Than Shwe and Vice Senior Gen Maung Aye, were technically retired from their post.
