World Bank to open office in Burma

(Reuters) The World Bank announced Thursday it will open an office in Burma in June, a quarter century after it shut its aid program down as the country fell under the harsh rule of a military junta.

Burma: Ban Should Press for Lasting Reforms

Secretary-General’s Visit Should Highlight Political Prisoners, Conflict Abuses (New York) – United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon should emphasize the need for genuine reforms to address Burma’s still dire human rights situation, Human Rights Watch said today. Ban will visit Burma for several days beginning April 29, 2012 to discuss with Burmese officials a range of issues including political reform, development and humanitarian needs, and refugee issues.

MSF special treatment for suffering ill students from unregistered refugee camp

Kutupalong, Bangladesh : Médecins Sans Frontières(MSF) had given special treatment program for suffering  ill students from  Home  Education program of unregistered refugee camp on April 26, at about 12:00pm, said a school teacher from the camp.
