The group of 139, discovered by residents in a rubber plantation north of Phuket last night, were recovering today after a harrowing 22-day voyage south to Thailand with little food and water. Mostly young men and teenagers, some of the children ranged from two, three and four years old.  Survivors showed recent scars from savage beatings to Phuketwan journalists at a community hall in the port of Kuraburi in Phang Nga province. KUALA LUMPUR (Nov 21, 2012) : The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is in the midst of arranging a visit to Myanmar for discussion on ways to resolve the crisis faced by minority Rohingya Muslims. According to OIC, the visit will be led by Secretary-General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, and a number of foreign ministers from the member states. The ministers will assess the humanitarian needs of those affected by the violence in the Rakhine state, and also coordinate with the Myanmar authorities to develop a plan for it, it said in a statement.

OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu said in a statement that the violence during a period marking the end of Ramadan, the annual haj pilgrimage to Mecca, “is deplorable and a blatant violation of human rights.”

Heart-Broken news received from the ground of Arkan State on 28-10-2012 [at Amsterdam Time 04 pm] by BRCNL MEDIA  On a Phone conversation with a Rohingya resident, U Saw Pay from Kyauk Phyu who is currently residing in one of the camps in Sittwe told that while they (21 boats loaded with full of Rohingyas where pregnant women, aged disabled women and men, children and babies ) were trying to escape from the massacre by Rakhines, Lontin(Riot Police) and police forces, 14 boats out of 21 could approach to the shore of Sittwe after 2 days journey by sea with the help of Turkish NGOs who convinced local authorities (military) in Sittwe to give protection to the people. Other 7 boats were taken away by Myanmar Navy. It is unknown where these seven boat people of Rohingyas said by U Saw Pay.

The incident occurred when a number of Buddhits backed by army and border forces set fire to houses of Muslims in the villages of Mamra and Mraut late Sunday, Radio Banga reported on Monday.

Maungdaw Arakan State:  A Rohingya youth was killed by the Burma border security force (Nasaka) of Kawar Bill Nasaka Headquarters yesterday night, according to a relative of the victim. “The victim was identified as Mohamed Alam (35), son of Shofi Rahaman, hailed from Tharat Oo village of Maungdaw north. He was arrested by the Nasaka of  Kular bill Nasaka  personnel of Nasaka area No.6 of Maungdaw Township on September 15, from his house over the allegation that he was involved in the recent riot between Rakhine and Rohingya community.”

PORT KLANG (Sept 26, 2012): A ship carrying 500 tonnes of humanitarian aid for Rohingya refugees set sail for Myanmar yesterday. Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, in flagging off the Sinar Bima commercial vessel at Northport, said the humanitarian mission was a responsibility for Malaysia as a neighbour to Myanmar and Asean member.

Maungdaw, Arakan State:  Rohingyas villagers expressed their grave concern over the being deteriorating situation of human Rights in Arakan particularly persecutions of security forces in various ways, said a village elder preferring not to be named. “Our daily life is breaking up due to continuation of State of emergency. (SACRAMENTO, CA) - Just what is it that forces human beings to behave like the most savage beasts? Here are a couple of insights I am gleaning from my work. First, when committing war crimes, be sure to do a really thorough job of destroying the person or people you attack. Make their final appearance 'unacceptable' to the photo editors and then your murders of civilian innocents will never be seen by anyone! For example, I have photos from the Sri Lanka government Genocide against Tamils in 2009 where part of a fetus is sticking out of the slain mother's belly. It is just too grotesque to use, so the public never sees it because even hardened human rights and war reporters like myself are too squeamish to do so.

Buthidaung, Arakan State : A Rohingya Muslim was killed in tortured by the concerned authorities in jail of Buthidaung on September 11, said a businessman on condition of anonymity. “ He was arrested from Maungdaw Township by the Nasaka personnel over allegation two years ago.” The dead body was identified as Moulvi Mohammed Rafique son of Gul Mohamed, hailed from Gudu Sora of Maungdaw Township, Arakan State, Burma.

YANGON — Myanmar grew used to international criticism under a notoriously brutal junta, but reformist leaders tackling the fallout from deadly communal unrest are facing a new reality — having to listen. Festering animosity between Buddhists and Muslims in western Rakhine state erupted in June leaving, according to official figures, nearly 90 dead. Whole villages lie decimated as a result of the fighting, leaving tens of thousands displaced, many from the stateless Rohingya Muslim minority who have long suffered persecution in the country and elsewhere.

Aung San Suu Kyi’s plate seems to be full. She had fought for years for democracy against the military junta. Vindicated, she entered Burma’s parliament to build a coalition by representing her party, the National Democratic League (NLD), after  winning  a by-election. She tended to a steady stream of foreign dignitaries who visited Burma right after the military government granted her  freedom . Then for the first time in years she set foot outside Burma to visit foreign countries and open paths for diplomatic relationships. 

THE recent clashes between ethnic Arakan Buddhists and Rohingya Muslims in Arakan (also called Rakhine state) in Myanmar have left at least 78 people dead and tens of thousands displaced. An investigation by HRW found that the military government has since launched a crackdown on Rohingya, conducting violent sweeps, opening fire on villagers and arresting large numbers of Muslim men and boys.
