A Short History of The European Rohingya Council (ERC)  ERC, a non-governmental organization, was formed by the Rohingyas living in 12 different European nations at the end of the two-day convention held in Denmark from 6th to 7th October, 2012. It was formed with urgency in order to make a strong and unified voice to draw the attention of international community towards the genocide being committed against Rohingyas, and their decades of sufferings both in their homeland and neighboring countries. ERC is comprised of around a hundred members with 12 council members, 8 secretariats and an advisory board. Since inception ERC is actively working with other Rohingya and non-Rohingya organizations around the world.
