Pipeline, rubber plantation responsible for pollution

EU to temporarily lift Burma sanctions

NLD sends appeal letter to Thein Sein on oath

Rangoon ( Mizzima ) – Leaders of the National League for Democracy (NLD) submitted a letter of appeal to Burmese President Thein Sein on Friday to try to resolve the dispute over a parliamentary oath, which the NLD opposes.

Rohingya ‘camping out’ at UNHCR office

Photo: Mizzima Residents in the area complain that the U.N. should provide some sort of temporary solution to alleviate the congestion in the area, according to an article in  The Times of India  on Friday.

Burmese refugees pitch tents in Vasant Vihar

NEW DELHI: Hundreds of men, women and children from  Myanmar  have spent the past one week camping on the pavements and by-lanes around the  United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees  (UNHCR) at  Vasant Vihar  seeking refugee status. Meanwhile, residents in the area complain that ever since the UNHCR office was established in the area, they have had little peace.
