Current situation of Arakan State

28 th of May 2012 ,rape, robbery, and murder of Kyauknimaw,a Rakhine Buddhist female by a Rakhine Buddhist  was alleged to two teen ages of Muslims, and two Muslims kids were killed by dead penalty but actual murderer is still freely enjoying his life .  3 rd  of June 2012, killing of 10 Muslims ofTaungup Township in a passenger bus by 300 Rakhine racists  who were excused because there was no eye witness  to prove who actually killed those 10 Muslims. 8 th  of June 2012, Rakhine racists started burning and killing of Rohingya’s houses and Rohingya people in the whole Arakan State. Imposing of curfew orders  by the township general  administration department under section  144 code of criminal procedure in the townships of Arakan State, from 8 th  June 2012  and 10 th  June 2012 accordingly. All Myanmar Islam Association issues statement of its stance on 8 th of June 2012 requesting to stop violence. The President office issued Ordinance  No. (1/2012)  on 10 th June 20

UN employees sentenced by Myanmar court for Rakhine violence

UN Photo/Paulo Filgueiras 27 August 2012 – Two United Nations employees have been sentenced by a Myanmar court in connection with the violent unrest that recently gripped the country’s Rakhine state in June, a spokesperson for the Organization said today. One employee of the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), one of the World Food Programme (WFP), and another person working for UNHCR’s partner organization were sentenced at a court in Maungdaw, in the westernmost part of Myanmar.

OIC delegation to visit Myanmar to assess condition of Rohingya Muslims

DUBAI: The recent extraordinary session of the Organisation of Islamic Co-operation (OIC) released a 14-point communiqué to pressurise the Myanmarese government to stop the widespread discrimination and administrative hostility being faced by Rohingya Muslims in Arakan State. This was disclosed by Professor Wakar Uddin, director general of Arakan Rohingya Union (ARU), in an exclusive interview with The Gulf Today on Monday.

Iran ready to help reduce Myanmar tensions: Salehi

Iran concerned over conditions of Rohingya Muslims, Salehi tells Myanmar FM

TEHRAN  – During a meeting with Myanmar’s Foreign Minister Wunna Maung Lwin in Tehran, Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi expressed concern about the conditions that the Rohingya Muslims are experiencing in Myanmar, it was reported on Monday.  Salehi said that Iran is ready to send humanitarian aid for the Muslims in Myanmar and will welcome a decision to use Iran’s influence to help defuse tensions in the country.

Maungdaw, Arakan State:  Rohingyas shops owner will lose their property for non-maintaining of shops by municipal office, according to a  shop  owner from market. “The  market  was closed  by the authority since June 8 and the authority did not keep maintains the market since last year which the shop’s owners were complained for roof which was broken.”
