Anwar  |  RvisionTV.com October 3, 2013 1- Arbitrary Taxation on Rohingyas by Department of Finance and Revenue Maung Daw By Sindhi Khan | October 2, 2013 Maung Daw, Arakan Deputy Head of the Department of Finance and Revenue Maung Daw, U Khin Moe Lwin, is collecting arbitrary tax from Rohingya Businessmen, fishery owners and shop-owners. The Government of Myanmar rules that 10% income tax should be paid by the businessmen, traders, shop-owners and others. However, the deputy head is forcing Rohingyas to pay 12% income tax which is against the rule of central government. Moreover, order from the central government of Myanmar only is only to collect income tax for this year. Despite the income tax amnesty by the central goverment for 2012 due to the violence and economic instability, U Khin Moe Lwin, is forcibly collecting income tax from Rohingyas for both 2012 and 2013 on top of the 2% extra tax charge on 10% regular income tax.
