A RECENT documentary on CNN shows the Rohingya are discriminated, persecuted and deported by their own authorities to Bangladesh.
We know Bangladesh is a poor country, with little resources to accommodate these people. They end up living in squatter camps in the most miserable conditions. They have no passports, are deemed stateless hence, have nowhere to go.
The UNHRC is giving lukewarm support, with no solution in sight for these people. Since this is taking place within Asean, why is there no effort being made to address this shameful situation?
Where is the moral conscience of Malaysia and Indonesia?
Why are the rich Middle East countries keeping quiet?
