1-    Confinements of Rohingyas in Rathedaung Township
Rohingyas in Rathedaung Township are facing severe crises for their survival due to confinements and travel restrictions by authority. They are unable to travel to markets in the downtown of Rathedaung to buy foods, medicines and other necessary stuffs. Thus, on 23rd April 2014, some Rohingyas from the village of Aaga-Taung in Rathedaung were travelling to the bazaar of Nyaung Village of Buthidaung Township by an engine boat. However, Security Force at the village didn’t allow them to step on the land and forced them to go back. (Report by CR MYARF)

2-    Money Extortion from Rohingyas by the Administrator of Pha-Yung-Chaung
Daw Ruwaida (daughter of) Aamir Hussein is a local Rohingya woman of Pyaingg-Taung of Pha-Yung-Chaung village tract, Buthidaung Township. She has some problems with some of her villagers as they are keeping their domestic animals on her agricultural land leading to deterioration of the land. Therefore, she complaint to the village administrator, Maung Than Htay, on 20th April 2014. Instead of solving her problems, the administrator is trying to squeeze Kyat 150,000 from her. As she’s refusing to fulfill his arbitrary demands, he’s threatening her that he’ll ask Buthidaung Police Chief, U Mye Htwe, to arrest her. (Report by CR MYARF)

3-    Rohingyas Forced to Pay Money at Check Posts
There is a camp of Security Force by the main road of at the village of Kyauk Pandu in southern Maungdaw. Some members of the Security Force at the camps were transferred to and from on 15th April 2014. The Newly posted Security Forces at the camps are extorting Kyat 500 from every Rohingya that passes by their check post.

4-    Security Force to Re-Implement Brutal NaSaKa Mechanism against Rohingyas
NaSaKa (Border Security Force) in Arakan state was disbanded by the government in July, 2013. They were replaced by HlunHteins (Security –maintainance- Force). Now, captain Than Tun of Maggyi Chaung (Faatonza) Security Force camp under HlunHtein Region (formerly NaSaKa Commandment Area) 7 in Maungdaw Township has told Rohingyas that he would re-implement NaSaKa’s brutal and oppressive mechanisms against Rohingyas. (Report by CR MYARF)

5-    Clerk at Kyein Chaung Administration Extort Money from a Rohingya Woman
U Tun Win, a Rakhine extremist, is a government appointed clerk at the office of administration of Kyein Chaung (Bawli Bazaar), northern Maungdaw. He squeezed Kyat 50,000 from Doyya Khatun (daughter of) U Iliyas (Age 36) from northern Kyein Chaung village on 21st April 2014. When she refused to pay, he threatened her to lodge the reports of repairment of her house and fence to the township administration office. (Report by HD MYARF)

Iran Ready to Dispatch Medical Teams to Myanmar

TEHRAN (FNA)- Head of the Basij Organization of Iran's Medical Society Mohammad Rayeeszadeh voiced the society's readiness to dispatch medics, nurses and relief and rescue forces to help Myanmar's Muslims who are under the daily attacks of the majority in the Southeast Asian country. "The Basij (volunteer) organization of the Medical Society is prepared to dispatch emergency teams of physicians, nurses and rescue workers to Myanmar," Rayeeszadeh told FNA on Saturday.

2,600 tonnes of aid delivered to Myanmar Muslims

Khalifa Foundation has distributed urgent aid totalling 5,200 tonnes Gulf News  March 04, 2013  Burma: The Khalifa Bin Zayed Humanitarian Foundation (KZHF) has distributed another 2,600 tonnes of food aid to Myanmar Muslims, completing its third and last phase of the urgent aid totalling 5,200 tonnes of relief items among 850,000 beneficiaries. As per directives of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the assistance was purchased from the local markets of Myanmar in cooperation and coordination with the Embassy of Kuwait to be shipped by sea to “Rakhine (Arakan)” for distribution among the affectees there.
