Senator Claire Moore in EID FESTIVAL

Burmese Rohingya Association in Queensland-Australia(BRAQA)


Hosted the EID FESTIVAL on Sunday evening 11 August 2013 at Multipurpose Hall of Australian International Islamic College in Durack, Brisbane, Australia. 

About 420 local and Rohingya people and More than a dozen representatives from different government and non government organizations attended the event including Rolling party Senator Claire Moore, Mr Yousub President of ICQ, Mr Yusob khatree President of MCF, Sergeant Jim Bellos (police department), Jenny foodwin MDA, Mr Khan educational adviser AIIC and Representatives from QPASTT, Mercy Family Care and many others. 

Senator Claire Moore wished a wonderful EID MUBARAK to all and thanked the BRAQA for all the work it has done for the community specially for bringing people together in occasion like today.

“We heard and we know that the trouble happening in your home land our prays are with you all. Welcome you with the values of our country.” Said, Senator Claire Moore. 


Hossain Juhar (President of BRAQA ) thanked the senator and other Representatives for accepting the invitation of the Eid festival.

“I would like to thank the Australian government through you (senator) specially it’s foreign Minister Hon Bob Carr for lobbing by taking humanitarian side to bring democracy in Burma and many other countries around the world and for raising the Rohingya issue with the Myanmar Government. We hope and request to the Australian government to do more to restore the democratic rights of the most persecuted ethnic minority Rohingya in Myanmar, who have been victims of persecution from Rakhine and Myanmar government itself for decades” said, Hossain Juhar.


And it was the biggest Rohingya gathering of the year. The program started by the recitation of the holy Quran and the Australian National anthem .Of cause the patriotic song sang by Bro Sawyed Amin was heart touching that made the audiences cry. And the event finished with Dua then dinner (Rohingya traditional food)

Iran Ready to Dispatch Medical Teams to Myanmar

TEHRAN (FNA)- Head of the Basij Organization of Iran's Medical Society Mohammad Rayeeszadeh voiced the society's readiness to dispatch medics, nurses and relief and rescue forces to help Myanmar's Muslims who are under the daily attacks of the majority in the Southeast Asian country. "The Basij (volunteer) organization of the Medical Society is prepared to dispatch emergency teams of physicians, nurses and rescue workers to Myanmar," Rayeeszadeh told FNA on Saturday.

2,600 tonnes of aid delivered to Myanmar Muslims

Khalifa Foundation has distributed urgent aid totalling 5,200 tonnes Gulf News  March 04, 2013  Burma: The Khalifa Bin Zayed Humanitarian Foundation (KZHF) has distributed another 2,600 tonnes of food aid to Myanmar Muslims, completing its third and last phase of the urgent aid totalling 5,200 tonnes of relief items among 850,000 beneficiaries. As per directives of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the assistance was purchased from the local markets of Myanmar in cooperation and coordination with the Embassy of Kuwait to be shipped by sea to “Rakhine (Arakan)” for distribution among the affectees there.
