The next day, some relatives of the victim and villagers together went to the forest to find him. After two hours, the dead body was found in a paddy field without hands and legs and the relatives rescued him.
Rohingya villagers believe that he was killed by a group of Rakhine villagers with the cooperation of Burma’s security force (Nasaka) of Maung Gri Taung, said another close relative of the victim on condition of anonymity.
His family members will face many difficulties in future as he is the only bread earner for the family, the relative more added.
However, the dead body was brought to the Police Station of Buthidaung for further investigation.
A Roingya elder said, “There is no life security of Rohingya people in northern Arakan and thousands of Rohingya Muslims were killed by Rakhines and Burmese security forces, but no action has been taken against the culprits by the concerned authorities.”
