Besides, the Bangladeshi Coastguards of Saint-Martin Island arrested two Rohingyas along with a local on September 1, who gives shelter in Saint-Martin.
The arrestees have been identified as Aman Ullah (45), son of Erashad Ullah and Mohamed Ibrahim (40), son of Habibur Rahaman, hailed from Aley Than Kyaw of Maungdaw Township.
Abdur Rahaman (45), son of Lal Meah, the resident of Saint-Martin Island, was arrested by coastguard for giving shelter the two Rohingyas. The two Rohingyas are suspect as informers of Nasaka who were sent to Bangladesh by Nasaka to watch the movement of Navy and army, according to a closed aide of Nasaka.
However, they were handed over to Teknaf police station by the Coastguards yesterday and filed case against them, according to sources.
Sources also said, many Rohingya come to Bangladesh from Burma without knowledge of Bangladesh authorities because of persecution and sectarian violence in Arakan State, Burma. Thousands of Rohingya Muslims were killed and many houses were also burned down by Burmese security force and Moghs. But, Bangladesh has been not allowing the persecuted Rohingyas to enter the Bangladesh officially since June 8. So, hundreds of Rohingyas were arrested from the border and pushed back to Burma by BGB, police and Coastguard of Bangladesh.
