They tightly encircled the entire village and the combined forces entered every house in search of Rohingya Muslims. During the raid the joint forces arrested at least 100 Rohingya’s. 3 Rohingya’s are reported killed and 8 wounded while they were tried to escape. The dead bodies and wounded people were taken away with the security forces trucks. We still do not know where the people were taken.
According our sources in Arakan , the joint forces ( in 10 Trucks) have also surrounded Kiladang village (Maungdaw South ), Udong Village and Myo Thu Gyi Village( Maungdaw) in the afternoon of 4th July. The villagers are afraid that the forces will raid their village tonight (Burmese time).In Sittwe, one Rohingya house was burned down in Bu May village yesterday. One Rohingya girl from (Nazeer Village Ward 5, Sittwe) was raped and tortured by three members of military forces (232-Batallion).
BROUK president Tun Khin said “During the state-sponsored violence many Rohingya were killed by police and security forces. According to people from detention camps near Sittwe, at least 10 Rohingyas are dying everyday because of lack of food, shelter and medicine. The Rohingya can’t go to the any other places till today as there is no protection for Rohingyas. Thein Sein’s regime is not protecting Rohingya, and instead arresting and killing the Rohingyas without any reason. It is time to act for international community to protect Rohingyas. Pressure must be applied on Thein Sein to stop the attacks and stop the arrests. International monitors must be allowed into the area, humanitarian agencies and must have free and unrestricted to access and assist all displaced people.” For more information, Please contact:
