Subject: An appeal to get urgent protection from the threat of local
UP ex member MV. Baktiar Ahmed.

Dear Madam/sir,
With due respect and humble to state that I am an innocent Rohingya
refugee volunteer of MOH. I would like to apprise you that, on
11/2/2012 about  7:30 pm the coexisting of my shed named Monuwara
Begum (17) MRC No Z3656 had gone (eloped)  to my home with the purpose
of marry me without any indication of me. As soon as she had eloped to
my home then her parents and brother trespassed into my home and beat
my mother and sister cats and dogs. They returned Monowara from my
home forcibly. I want to marry her considering her life. Mv. Baktiar
sent policemen to my home to attack me. Baktiar is doing such, because
he is their relative. My sister in Law named Montaz and Mustafa Khatun
were admitted to IPD as they were  seriously hurt by them. In this
circumstances, Mv. Baktiar is threatening me of false case and calling
me outside camp to beat me. So I am in dangerous and insecurity. On
13/2/2012 they have taken that girl out of camp. They are not
appearing the  Monuwara to CIC office.

I therefore pray and hope that you would kindly take necessary step to
ensure me security and do the needful of above incidence.
Thank you very much.

The website aims to dispel “myths” about the movement, with a letter from nationalist monk Wirathu to a Time magazine reporter whose article about 969 was banned in Burma.  “We’re not officially endorsed by Ven Wirathu at this time but will send a delegation to his monastery soon,” a spokesperson for the site said via email, adding that the group would create a nonprofit to coordinate “969 activities worldwide in response to religious oppression.”
