Over 200,000 Rohingya Muslims benefitted from KZHF assistance

WAM Abu Dhabi, Sep 19th, 2012 (WAM) -- The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Humanitarian Foundation (KZHF) has concluded the first phase of emergency relief project for Rohingya Muslims and has provided in-kind assistance to around 200,000 affected people in Myanmar's Arakan state. The project was launched under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan to provide emergency aid to the displaced Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar in the wake of the bloody atrocities against them.

Woman severely tortured by army and Natala villagers in Maungdaw

Maungdaw, Arakan State:  On September 16, in the morning, a Rohingya  woman was severely beaten up by the military along with Natala villagers because she went to the Natala village to take back her relatives’ cattle that were taken away by army and local Natala villagers from grazing field, said a villager on condition of anonymity.
