Teknaf, Bangladesh: Members of Bangladesh Coastguard detained 10 people –possibly traffickers or boat drivers of Burma – from the Bay of Bengal near Saint Martin’s Island while going to Malaysia with rickety boat on May 20, according to official of Coastguard of Saint Martin. They also arrested four traffickers (agents) namely—Zabet Hussain (28), Gura Meah  (35), Mohamed Anwar (29), and Mohamed Shahin (28) and seized two trawlers during the raid. They all belong to Teknaf upazila under Safran union, coastguard sources said. Lt. Col Harun-ur-Rashid, coastguard  commander of Saint Martin’s Island, said a patrol team of coastguard intercepted two trawlers with passengers aboard on the Bay, about 8km off the island, at around 4:00am. “As the people on board the trawlers were going to Malaysia without valid documents,” Commander Harun added. The contemptuous doctors are openly misbehaved with Refugee patients and neglect the patients to give medicines. A 16 year old refugee female patient, Rohima Khatun MRC #Z0497, is suffering by stomach cramps since dozens of days. When she went M.O.H to get treatment of her sickness, Dr. Taposh (M.T.L) ridiculously proposed her to get marry instead of giving her medicines. By KPN News May 20, 2014 Cox’s Bazar: Bangladesh : The authorities of Bangladesh had arrested over 1173 Rohingyas in special drives along the Bangladesh-Burma border since 2014, according to official source from Cox’s Bazar. According to BGB official’s statement, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) arrested Rohingya, 322 in January, 287 in February, 211 in March, 196 in April and 157 in May 20, 2014 after being conducted different operations along the border. Most of Rohingyas come to Bangladesh from Burma after sectarian violence in 2012, the BGB statement said.
